Artikel: spelen over een politie-inval bij een onschuldig gezin

UTRECHT - Het is nog te vers. Of ze hebben er gewoon genoeg van. Slechts één bewoner van de Utrechtse Bucheliusstraat vertelt tijdens de terugspeeltheatervoorstelling zijn verhaal over de politie-inval bij een gezin dat later onschuldig bleek te zijn.
Bij open voorstellingen, zoals deze avond in cultureel centrum Parnassos, is het zoeken naar iets gemeenschappelijks. De mensen uit de Bucheliusstraat hebben hun belevenissen rond de politie-inval, maar voor de rest van het publiek is dat niet te voelen.Daarom is het thema van de avond veiligheid, en dat brengt verhalen naar boven over fietsendieven, enge mannen in de disco en ander stedelijk ongerief.
Even later woelen op de speelvloer vier acteurs door elkaar heen. De ene sleept als politieman de verdachte weg, een tweede politieman roept de omstanders toe dat zij vooral rustig moeten blijven, en acteur nummer vier speelt Wytze Slagters poging om de verdachte nog wat troost mee te geven. De scène duurt alles bij elkaar nog geen drie minuten. En als het voorbij is, knikt Slagter tevreden: ,,Dit doet recht aan mijn verhaal. Ik vond het zo onrechtvaardig, het klopt gewoon niet. Je kan er niet tussen springen maar eigenlijk wil je zo iemand helpen en een knal uitdelen.’’

Playback theatre reflects a police raid at an innocent family

UTRECHT - It is still too fresh. Or they have had just enough. Only one inhabitant of the Utrechtse Bucheliusstraat tells during playback theatre his story about the police raid at a family that later on proved to be innocent. In playbackevents for general public, as on this evening in Parnassos Cultural Centre, the aim is seeking for something in common. The people from the Bucheliusstraat have their experiences out of the police raid, but for the rest of the public have not experienced these moments. Because of this the Playback Theatre group have chosen for a general theme: "security and safety". That brings up top stories about bike thieves, scary men in the disco and other urban inconvenience. After telling stories the four actors roll over each other and a wildly play. One policeman drags away a suspect, an other policeman urges people on the street to stay put, and actor number four plays the role of the teller. Who's aim is to give the suspect some comfort. The scene lasts all together less than three minutes. And when the play is over the teller nods: "This reflects my story. To me it felt so unfair. I could not jump between the police and the suspect. But I really want to help my neighbour out and even hit somebody for it.
